Around television, she worked on the a measure of laundry detergent opera, Generations. Late, she experienced guest-starring roles in Tales from the Dark Side, and a science fiction shows, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and Babylon 5 (as Lyta Alexander). By using fellow CMU alumnists, Tom Savini and George A. Romero, she collaborated on several films, including Knightriders (starring Ed Harris), Monkey Shines (Savini was credited for makeup and stunt work), and Creepshow 2 (Tallman performed stunts). Inside 1990, she starred as Barbara in the Savini-directed remaking of the 1968 classic, Night of the Living Dead.

She is married to Babylon Fin's Jeffrey Willerth, and is mother to boy Julian.
